Dit is een tweetalig bericht. This is a bilingual message. Aan alle Othello/Reversi spelers, Binnenkort worden de 3e Open Nederlandse Othello Kampioenschappen gehouden. In dit bericht wil ik graag wat bijzonderheden noemen. Voor meer informatie vraag ik u te kijken op http://www.othello.nl/toernooien/doonk3.html en http://www.othello.nl! - De datum is zondag 14 oktober. - Toegang/Inschrijven 10:00, start 10:30. - We hopen dit toernooi tegen 50 deelnemers te mogen verwelkomen. - De top-5 wint een prijs. - De top-3 wint een beker. - De beste 5 beginners winnen ook een prijs. - De beste 3 beginners winnen ook een beker. - De beste 3 beginners met minimaal 3.5 winstpartijen worden gepromoveerd. Iedereen mag aan dit toernooi meedoen, zowel beginners als gevorderden, ook spelers uit het buitenland. Laat de titel van het toernooi je niet ontmoedigen. Iedere deelnemer speelt 7 ronden, niemand wordt halverwege uitgeschakeld. Dankzij het Zwitserse koppel systeem speelt iedereen in minstens 5 of 6 van de 7 ronden tegen een gelijkwaardige tegenstander. Inschrijven is van te voren niet verplicht maar wel gewenst. Inschrijvingen trekken altijd weer extra inschrijvingen aan. En als de organisatie van te voren weet wie er komen is het ook makkelijker plannen. Inschrijvingen naar jan.de.graaf@othello.nl!!! Aan het einde van het toernooi, vlak voor de reguliere prijsuitreiking, worden de beste 3 spelers van de Nederlandse GrandPrix van dit jaar bekend gemaakt. Voor hen zijn er speciale bekers. Direct hierna worden deze drie spelers uitgenodigd Nederland te representeren op het WK 2001. Mochten 1 of meer van deze spelers niet naar het WK gaan dan wordt de 4e en de 5e (en zo verder) speler van de GrandPrix gevraagd. Ik wil dus iedere speler die reeds WK-selectie-punten heeft vragen om VOOR 14-10 na te denken over de mogelijkheid om naar het WK te gaan. Het zou kunnen dat spelers die boven jou geëindigd zijn ervoor kiezen niet te gaan. De beslissing moet op 14-10 gemaakt worden omdat de geselecteerde ook nog tijdig een vlucht en hotel moeten kunnen boeken. Please note that anyone can enter this tournament, beginners and experts alike, foreign or not. Don't let the title discourage you. Every player will play 7 rounds, no-one will be eliminated. Using the swiss pairing system we will make sure that everyone plays vs. suitable opponents in at least 5 or 6 of the 7 rounds. Submission in advance is not required but we'd appreciate it alot. Also, at the end of the tournament, just before the regular winners-announcements, the best 3 players of this year's Dutch GrandPrix will be revealed. They will get special trophees. Directly after that, the three players that will represent the Netherlands at the 2001 WOC will be selected. In principle the best three players of the 2001 Dutch GrandPrix will be invited. If one or more of them do not want to go to the WOC 2001 then the 4th-, 5th-, and-so-on-best player will be asked. So, please decide BEFORE 14-10 if you wish to represent the Netherlands at the 2001 WOC, even if you will not likely finish in the top-3!
