Binnenkort wordt de 1e Nederlandse Europese GrandPrix georganiseerd:
Datum: 23+24 Juni 2001
Aanvang: 9:00 (de 1e ronde start om 10:00 precies)
Plaats: het Europese Go en Cultureel Centrum
Schokland 14 Amstelveen (www.othello.nl/egp2001/route.html)
Entree: 40,- voor gevorderden
20,- voor beginners, studenten en jongeren
gratis voor toeschouwers
Indeling: 11 ronden aangepast zwitsers systeem
(niemand valt af, iedereen speelt 11 ronden)
daarna op zondagmiddag de halve finales en finales
Prijzen: - 2 DGT's gesponsord door DGT Projects (www.dgt.nl)
- Een aantal fraaie prijzen gesponsord door Mattel
- Een aantal reis-Othello borden (www.mattel.nl)
- Een aantal reguliere Othello borden
De 5 beste spelers en de 3 beste beginners mogen hun prijs
uitkiezen in volgorde van hun eindresultaat.
Drinken: alle gebruikelijke soorten drinken zijn verkrijgbaar in de
gezellige kantine van het Go centrum
Bijzonder!: Zowel op zaterdag als op zondag wordt alle deelnemers kos-
tenloos een goede complete lunch aangeboden
Iedere nieuwe beginner die meedoet ontvangt van Mattel een
attentie die het komen alleen al de moeite waard maakt
Er is een speciaal EGP gedeelte op www.othello.nl
ingericht met o.a. een voorlopige deelnemerslijst
Het is een Open toernooi. Iedereen (uit elk land) is welkom. De
laatste 2 toernooien, zie www.othello.nl, waren een groot success. Er
waren bij beiden 36 deelnemers varierend in speelsterkte van beginner
(slechts enkele partijen gespeeld) tot wel 7 WK gekwalificeerden. Het
aangepaste zwitserse systeem garandeert dat iedereen in elke ronde een
passende tegenstander krijgt.
Alhoewel het niet verplicht is stellen we het op prijs als u van te
voren aankondigt dat u komt. Om in aanmerking te komen voor de gratis
lunches MOET u zich uiterlijk dinsdag 19 Juni inschrijven. U kunt zich
inschrijven door te emailen aan jan.de.graaf@othello.nl. Ook een
berichtje als u niet komt waarderen wij.
Geeft u deze aankondiging a.u.b. door aan een ieder geinteresseerd in
Othello (of Reversi).

Special!!!: Both saturday and sunday offers a free, yet good and
complete, lunch
Every new and beginning player gets a very nice attention
from Mattel which makes attending even more interesting

This is an open tournament, so everyone (from every country) is
welcome. The last 2 tournaments, see www.othello.nl, were great
successes. There were 36 players ranging in skill from beginner
(having played only a few games) up to 7 WOC qualifiers. The swiss
format used to decide who plays vs. who in each round ensures that
everyone plays vs. equally skilled opponents each round.
Though not required we would appreciate you telling us in advance
that you'll attend. To receive the above-mentioned free lunches you
need to notify us of your attendance tuesday 19th of June latest. You
can notify us by sending an email to jan.de.graaf@othello.nl. We
appreciate a message too when your not coming.
